View this email in your browser Happy March, Greetings after a month away.  I hope this email finds you doing well and enjoying life. The past two months were filled with activities and a quick vacation for Sandy and me.  In early January, our favorite guy, Peter, turned 5.  To watch our energetic, early-rising guy get older has been one great, and exhausting ride. For those who have been reading along for a few years, you know that we have a small pond behind our house.  Sometimes we have winters where it will freeze for months, other times it barely freezes over.  This winter has fallen into the latter category.  We had two weeks of bitter cold weather, and I took the kids out on the ice for an hour or so.  They’ve made great progress over the past few winters. Sandy and I were lucky to get away for four nights in early February.  We joined the rest of my travel agent team for a retreat at the Sun Palace in Cancun.  This resort is special in our hearts because it was where we traveled for our honeymoon in 2012. It was spectacular to be back at Sun Palace.  There were some big updates and remodeling that happened in 2021, and they came out great.  The food was still top-notch, and the service was as helpful as ever.  Even with the resort being sold out - it never felt crowded.  Sun Palace is at the end of the hotel zone and the beaches were wonderful.  I loved swimming in the ocean each day.  A common question I get is the difference between Cancun and Riviera Maya.  The easiest way to describe it is that Cancun is more of the "City" area.  It's also called the "hotel zone" and it is closer to the airport.  The resorts tend to be built up higher (think 10+ floors per hotel).  Riviera Maya is the area as you head south of Cancun.  The resorts tend to be a little more spread out.   Looking ahead, I know many of you have been putting off contacting me.  How do I know?  Because you are contacting me at the last minute!  Luckily I've been able to help many.  Unfortunately, others aren't so lucky.  Again, please reach out when you have your first inkling of wanting to take a trip.  And it's been a few months, but a friendly reminder to check your passport's expiration.  If it's going to expire in the next six months, then consider getting it renewed.
