With so many people not even realizing that travel agents are still a profession, we thought it would be good to explain how to to utilize our services here at Blue Sea Vacations. Different travel agencies are going to each have their own style and method. We're no different. For starters, the best way to contact us is to fill out a contact form on this website, email us, Facebook message us, or call us. So really, any method! We understand that you may not know all the specifics. But the more information you can provide upfront, the better. Once our team receives the message, we will contact you back with follow up questions. Many times, this can include a phone call or even an in person meeting. We will probably have a decent amount of questions for you. To give you an idea of what questions we are interested in, here are some examples: 1) How long do you want to go for? 2) What did you like about some past trips? What didn't you like? 3) Many of our clients live within a few hours of a large regional hub (NYC, Chicago) - are you willing to drive there to fly and have a direct flight? 4) What sort of activities are you interested in doing? Sightseeing, beach, history, tour? 5) Do you have a budget range? This is just a starting point. If you don't know the answers, that's alright. Sometimes it is just as important to know what you don't want, as opposed to what you do want. The next step is for us to provide you with quotes for your trip. One thing that Blue Sea Vacations doesn't do is charge you a service fee or a fee prior to doing quotes. Some agencies will charge an upfront $50 as a planning fee that will go towards your trip if you book with them. Or, they'll tack on a fee to the final cost. You'll never have that with us. (However, if you are only looking to book flights, we charge a $25 per ticket fee.) After reviewing the quotes for the trip, feel free to contact us with any questions or revision. We will keep revising until your trip is perfect. It is then time to put a deposit down. Depending on what type of trip you will be booking, the deposit may or may not be refundable. We will always tell you this information along with the cancellation policy. The date of the deposit is also a great time to purchase travel insurance. Blue Sea Vacations highly recommends purchasing travel insurance. At the time for final payment, Blue Sea Vacations staff will contact you to make sure you are aware that the payment will be made on a specific dates. Please note that many times, the final payment date is the last dated to purchase travel insurance. Prior to your trip, we will either mail you all the appropriate documentation, or give detailed instructions on how to find them electronically and any action items you may need to take (check in for your cruise). During your trip, we are always available to help out. Email, text (sometimes), and Facebook messenger tend to be the best ways to communicate when you are out of the country and don't want to be charged by your cell phone provider. If you have any problems on your trip, please contact us immediately. Many times we can find a solution to the problem quickly. Once you return, we welcome any and all feedback. All our staff strive for improvement. Throughout the entire process, no question is too trivial. Travel is only getting more complex, and it is our passion for you to have a perfect trip.
